  I needed an economical place to stay for a 15 hour layover in Barcelona. I also wanted to be fairly close to everthing so I could take one last look before leaving Spain. The Pension Francia room was perfect: spacious and clean with good amenities at an excellent price. I even had a nice balcony with a vew of the Cafe Xixi and the pretty passagew... vad folk säger » ay. The location is great as it is walking distance to Port Vell, Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona Cathedral. Barcelona Zoo, El Born, Bari Gotic, Musee P - I love this hotel, it's simpel and clean ! I think it's the 5th time that I stayed here, and I'm always very happy here. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly. Location is great, and the price quality is very good I think. Will definitly return ! Good internet connection.

  Nice location, a lot of bars and restaurants in the area, the hotel is located on the main street of El Born, and you have a supermarket, bakery and a tobacco shop really close by. There are a few bars just beneath the balcony so its a little bit noisy during the evening, even though we liked it, it feels like you are in the middle of things. El Born is our favourite part of Barcelona.... - We had a fantastic stay in Barcelona at our little studio apartment! It was very cute and located in the perfect spot for a young couple. I cannot remember the name of the man who welcomed us, but he provided us with a map and some great recommendations for what to do and see. Saw a lot of great spots in the downtown area I might have otherwise missed. Great value for the money and an adorable little flat. Perfect for a short stay and I would happily return!
