  The location is great, close to the main streets, easy accessible and at walking distance to a lots of points of interest. The bus from the airport has a stop that is close by. La Rambla street (main commercial street) is 5 min away with shopping and restaurants. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for place in the city centre, providing you with - The lady at the reception knew perfect English and gave us tips what to visit in the city. The rooms were very clean and cozy, the location was right in the heart of the city. They even checked us in an hour earlier than usual and kept our luggage the entire day after we checked out.

  A shared kitchen allowed cooking own meals, staff spoke perfect english and was very helpful - they even made some calls to solve a problem that happened to us while visiting another hotel. Our room was quite small but clean, functional and nice. - The pension is staffed at almost all hours of the day, so felt safe.   The unit is awesome. Especially love the kitchen facilities. Able to clear laundry thus saving chore of washing back home. Really felt like home away from home. Being in the midst of La Rambla makes it a very convenient location. Did not mind the noise from the busy street. After all, it could hardly be heard once the windows were fully closed. It is located on La Rambla and in walking distance of Barcelona shopping districts. It is very close to a Metro station which makes the rest of Barcelona accessible.   The hotel had a lot of charm. It was clean (clean towels daily and beds changed during a 5 night stay), a great shower with plenty of very hot water, comfy beds and heating! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although quite basic the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. The position of the hotel just off La Rambla was superb. It's a great hotel for a group of friends on a short break - The location was brilliant! - just off La Ramblas, 2 minutes walk from the metro and 3 minutes walk from a Carrefour supermarket. Our room was simple but comfortable enough for our needs. We were particularly pleased to have a room on the fifth floor - it meant that our room was very quiet. We couldn't hear the street noise at all, which meant that after a day surrounded by the buzz of the city, our room was a good place to relax, switch off from the noise, and sleep!   We only had one night in this hotel and then moved to a 5 star in the Port Olympic area. The location of the Colonial hotel was fantastic. Across the street is a fantastic local area full of interesting resteraunts and bars. Although we moved to the Port Olympic area we returned to the area oppo - Great hotel in a great location.   I needed an economical place to stay for a 15 hour layover in Barcelona. I also wanted to be fairly close to everthing so I could take one last look before leaving Spain. The Pension Francia room was perfect: spacious and clean with good amenities at an excellent price. I even had a nice balcony with a vew of the Cafe Xixi and the pretty passagew... vad folk säger » ay. The location is great as it is walking distance to Port Vell, Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona Cathedral. Barcelona Zoo, El Born, Bari Gotic, Musee P - I love this hotel, it's simpel and clean ! I think it's the 5th time that I stayed here, and I'm always very happy here. Not all of the personel speaks english - I think that's just also the charm, you're in Catalunya... not in England- but they are always very helpfull and friendly. Location is great, and the price quality is very good I think. Will definitly return ! Good internet connection.
