  The Alma Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Barcelona for the fist time. Because the location of the hotel is great, it is near two main streets Rambla and the shopping street Gracia. And you can reach by foot almost all the places of the interest. Plus there many cosy and fashionable bars, cafes and restaurants just near the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and it is nice t - I have back and neck problems so a good quality mattress and pillow is always a problem when I travel... But not at this hotel! Those were Perfect! No backpain, no headache! Loved the backyard! very quiet and peaceful. The location was terrific. Three minutes to Casa Mila, city tour bus stop, 20 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia to name but a few.   Staff were excellant and could not be more accomodating. Modern boutique decor hotel with great location to all attrctions. Room was luxurious and clean- a real haven to relax in after a busy day sightseeing. Room service was impressively quick. Restaurant fitted with quality of hotel and delicious food. PCs for guests, free internet, nice library where you could connect your own PC, mini-bar (soft drinks) included in the price of the room. Location is perfect for the Gothic Quarter and the hotel design is stunning. The little square that the restaurant looks out on is a photographer's dream.   From the minute you enter the hotel you already feel something is different. Then, when you get to your room you understand how different it is. The lobby includes the front desk with staff that was always willing to help and give useful advice. Just past the front desk you have the breakfast area/snack room where you can grab something to eat or... vad folk säger » drink when you come back in the afternoon for a siesta or in the evening. We loved the Carrot cake! The standard room is divided into two separate ar - There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.

  I loved the presentation of the flats upon entering, the way the beds were made up, the fact that there was dishwashing liquid, tablets for the dishwasher, toilet paper, rubbish bags etc just to start. Lovely touches were the free bottle of wine and water, it's the little things.... Reception was always friendly and efficient and helpful. The space within the apartment 2. Being located in residential Barcelona was good so could sample how the locals lived 3. Having 2 showers was really useful 4. Having a balcony was good so we could dry our towels! 5. The utilities were good - kettle, fridge, etc - even towels and basic toiletries were included which was unexpected. 6. The complimentary bottle of Cava was a bonus!
