  Location was convenient for our purposes. Parking in the underground area turned out actually to be convenient for car access since it was a simple elevator ride from our floor to the car. The reception staff were friendly and knew enough English to help us. Comfortable.   Kept clean every day. The cleaning lady also does the dishes. Close by a metro station and a supermarket. Free Wifi - good location close to metro station and constant wifi connection. The kitchenette was also handy.

  It is very clean, comfortable, and staffs are friendly too. The location is in the city centre, and just 3 mins to metro station.   För den som vill bo centralt i Madrid till en billig penning är Hostal Puerta del Sol ett utmärkt alternativ. Här finns ingen lyx, rent och snyggt. Men framför allt vill jag lyfta fram läget, som ger det promenad avstånd till det mesta av intresse i staden. Glöm inte att utnyttja tunnelbanan till och från flygplatsen, endast en euro. - The ambiance... vad folk säger » was great and it is situated in the center of Madrid, it was the perfect place to stay. Furthermore, the breakfast was included and you have free internet access. - Great staff, great location, and the place was eternernally spotless! I stayed in a 4 star hotel the night before and couldn't even get a cup of tea in the room - these guys had breakfast bar open all hours. They deserve to do well.

  Absolutely loved the Casa de Madrid- easily one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, nothing was too much trouble, really genuinely lovely people taking great care to make our holiday as good and memorable as it could be. There is a great pride in the owner and the people who work there of the traditional and beautiful bui - It's not a hotel in conventional way. I like the ambience and all the elegant deco with a home style. Quite and lots of privacy in good location like this is really extrodinary. Very friendly staff provided good help on the train schedule and wifi in short/late time. We met the hostress when leaving at the door and she was a nice lady! Unique experience and strongly recommend to those people interested in culture.

  The location is just great. 5 min away from plaza del sol is the better start point for to reach all the attractions and, as it's the hart of the city you can fell how is it alive right there.   The location was right down in the city and close to many sights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the building was of the old architecture, which was charming. The rooms had a television, phone and plenty of bath linens. Jimmy and his staff were always very helpful. We would recommend Hostal Sardinero to anyone wanting to stay right in the heart of Madrid. - Superb location in beautiful side-street within easy walking distance of all the major sights. It was lovely to feel that we were in the heart of Madrid. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave us a warm welcome even though we arrived very late after a delayed flight. Room very comfortable. There was some noise on Friday and Saturday nights from people in the street but no traffic noise.
