  We had a wonderful experience of staying in Mar Blava! First of all, it is located in a very nice part of Ciutadella, on the rocky bank of a small bay, and you can go down to the sea, sit on the rocks, sunbathe, swim and enjoy the beautiful landscape without leaving the hotel's territory.   The hotel is in a good location, very close to the old part of the city. Our double room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was also fine. The balcony overlooked the hotel's swimming pool.   This fantastic old town house has been tastefully converted into a small period hotel. The decor is unusual and artistic, and we loved it. At night the abundant tea lights gave the lobby and stairwell a magical feel. Our room was warm and well equipped, and we had full strength WIFI at all times.   Everything!!! We spent a wonderful week there. The stuff is amazing helpful, the food was really good, especially breakfast. The nicest beaches of the island is rather close (max 10 km).   I think I read some reviews saying the beds were comfy, and yes I did find the beds comfortable. It's a good value for money hostal with very helpful staff. Rooms have got all the basic mod cons like tv and bathroom.   The owner (or manager) of the hotel is one of the kindest person I have ever met! He was extremely helpful and flexible! The hotel is really close to the center of Ciutadella and to the sea as well, but for the nearest beach you need to walk some minutes (which is really few in Menorca!). Clean room, everyday cleaning service. Check-out at 12 noon, and not early in the morning like other hotels. Comfortable bed, big bathroom,quiet location. Very easy parking around!   if you are a budget traveller, I highly recommend this place in Minorca. Perfect position, close to Ciutadella city centre, very close to a cheap supermarket and a self service laundry, and on the way to the most beautiful "cale" of the Island. Rooms are maybe a bit small but clean. Beds are comfortable. Simple clean furniture, the wardrobe smelt ... vad folk säger » good. We had our own private bathroom. Rooms are cleaned every day. If you have a car, the parking is right in front of the Hostal.The owner, Inés, is - The staff were just so super lovely.. You walk in and are greeted with such a warm smile. They were more than happy to give directions, suggest places to go.. In fact the woman at the front desk spent so much time helping us with maps that we felt like we had a personal assistant! The room was clean, comfortable and the bed was comfy.. The shared bathroom was clean also. No complaints!
