  The backpack was a really comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The common areas were laid back & relaxed and the place was very clean. Location was great & just a short walk from the top of Long Street and some good restaurants. Waterfront was a decent walk or a fairly quick taxi ride. We stayed here based in recomendations & were ... vad folk säger » very hsppy. Compared to some friends who were staying at numerous backpackers in and around Long Street, this sounded superior & I would definitel - It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa. Excellent Sandwiches and breakfast.

  The atmosphere was very relaxed, friendly and clean great location Thanks you very much for the pleasant stay. We wished we could stay longer. Just a short walk to the waterfront. Self service complimentary breakfast. secure parking if needed. We were made to feel at home by the owners.   Africa2Go Safaris use Island Lodge backpackers for our small eco tour groups along the Garden Route and everyone has given us only very good feed back.   The staff of Riverlogde were amazing, the services provided by Josh, Natasha, Olivia, Tendai and not forgetting the owner of Riverlogde Backpackers were excellent. The party I had before my departure took my breath away as the owner of the Lodge showered me with two expensive champaigns. The most important thing was that I was safety was guarantee... vad folk säger » d as the security guard was always on his toes. It was easy to go town by train during the day and cheap. The hotel organized taxi whenever needed at - Nice and quiet place to chilling out.
