  Friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The special price made it possible to upgrade to an executive suite room which was very comfortable. In addition the room had a bath (my wife's requirement) and a shower for myself.   We stayed for one night on route to Kruger National. The hotel was beautifully decorated, very tasteful African decor, comfortable, food was delicious and upmarket, staff friendly. Room was a standard but very comfortable. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and we can safely say all the meals were gourmet meals which we thoroughly enjoyed.   We enjoyed our stay immensly. The view is breath taking, the resort caters for all your needs and there is really no need to venture out except if you want too. There is a myriad of activities, catering for all preferences. The staff is helpful and friendly, the catering and variety of options excellent. The breakfast was devine. The staff were excellent- very friendly. The resort facilities are very unique especially the hydro pool which we seen but did not have time to use because of our short stay. But the facilities and the welcome was excellent.

  I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! - The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.

  The special treats at night by closing the curtains, open of beds and chocolates were very special and a nice touch. The design and re-use of an old building is such a clever idea and most pleasing to the eye. The chef at breakfast as well as supper and presentation was excellent. In fact, we would like to rebook at the end of April again. - The venue is situated at the habour, so we could view the activities of the harbour which was interesting. The venue is also very peaceful and quite, so if you want to relax, away from the "city in the city", this is ideal. We also loved the lounge area outside in the courtyard, so if you want to have your meal or drinks outside the restaurant, it makes it an excellent option.

She even made late special arrangements for a breakfast pack on the last day because we had to leave early, even though we only asked her to do this very late the previous evening.   We loved the friendly staff, the decor and environment, the sight and sound of the birds and nature all around us. It was blissfully quiet and restful and naturally beautiful. We especially enjoyed the lady who played the piano and the food was excellent!
