  The excellent rate I got through letsbookhotel.com, the spacious, comfortable well-appointed room and bathroom, the lovely old-style feel although the hotel could definately do with a make-over/a bit of freshening-up. - The stay was so pleasant and the staff was always available to help.   My experience at the hotel was everything and more than i expected. From the friendly staff, to the luxurious and spacious Villa, i can without a doubt say, this has been by far the best "home-away-from-home" establishment i have ever visited.Despite the fact that there arent any activities within the hotel, my friends and i still loved every mome... vad folk säger » nt we spent there....   The manager was excellent and did all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. For the price, the facilities were much better than expected. Our stay was relaxing. The colonial history of the hotel is abundantly clear in its incredible collection of wooden furniture, tap crowns, low door handles, etc. However, it reflects a poetic irony in the Madiba art collection and his inspiring words in his own handwriting, and the "new" queen of the castle halfway up the majestic stair case.   Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.
