  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   I was impressed with Tosca's attentiveness - she asked where I would like to go and brought out a map to help me. I felt very well looked after.   Very positive! I have lived in KZN all my life and often booked at expensive hotels, however Sica Guest House was a humbly experience bcoz I was treated to friendly people with no hassles!   Room exceptionally clean,staff very warm and helpful.Breakfast server with a smile by Your friendly chefs and staff. l would have rated excellent on facilities,but telephone was not working and had to go downstairs to order room service which was a nightmare. That spoilt My whole stay as - The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area.   We spent 6 nights at Africa Regent while holidaying in Durban, and cannot fault it! The grounds are beautiful, the room immaculate and the wonderful hosts, David and Pam, are friendly and attentive.
