We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as
students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so
this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The
hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on

A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex
and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing
to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to
comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the
center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm
Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the
expensive side.

Response staff - When we reported AC problems someone arrived right away, checked the settings, and we received a call offering to relocate us to a room with working AC. Also used the concierge services and it worked well.

It took me a lot of time to book a hotel in St. Pete. But the 5th Corner was worth all my time. I enjoyed my staying there very much. This place is absolutely recommended. It is right by a canal and views are beautiful, even when you are having breakfast (which is also very complete by the way). Besides it is very easy to get to the center from there and metro stations are very close if you want to move farther away. This hotel is really a bargain given its quality.

underground station. We were given a junior suite by price of standard
twin due to booking situation and arrival at 19:30 so can't review

The staff was lovely. Every single one of them. Although the entrance of the building was a little dodgy, as soon as you enter the hotel, it was a very nice, comfortable and home like interior. The location is great - just 10 min walk from the railway station from Moscow, 100 m from main street.
The hotel is very small - 22 rooms. Made from several former apartments. Stayed for May holidays - extremely cheap for such period.
Very good choice for those, who will not stay in the room and can live everywhere. I liked it very much.
