  We loved the character of this old hotel (16th century building), and our very large, top floor apartment with skylights.   The apartments are in prime location a 30 second walk to main Market square facing a subway restaurant, always handy.   Novum House is in a wonderful location about a 5 min walk to the main square, which while we were there had a great Christmas market! Thank you to Thomas and Rafael who went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one.   Pokoje Goscinne Wislna is in a perfect location, literally metres from main square and with chemist, off licence, foreign exchange and other conveniences on the street. Michael the owner is very helpful, arranged airport transfer and excursions and even beat quotes we had got elsewhere. I would 100% recommend to anybody travelling to Krakow. I intend - The best thing was that it was so close to the main square. Can't get any closer if you don't actually live on the square. I stayed at the top flat on the right - 4 up I think it was. My room was great. With a slanting roof, big beems and really well done up. Small kitchen area and bathroom. Being a female staying on my own it was actually very okay that I had to open 3 locks to get to my room. Makes you feel quite safe - not that I have heard that it would be a problem in Krakow.   Hotel Grodek is an excellent small hotel, with no detail left unattended. Its location is far better than any other hotel I saw in Krakow -- perfectly quiet, only two short blocks to the main square with easy access to the Jewish quarter. The room was excellent and the service was excellent. Perfect in every respect for my wife and I. The hotel itself was situated very close to the main square and this left it very easy for myself and my husband to walk in and out of the main square.I will definately visit again however I will take my family along.
