  The staff was very friendly - free laundry! There are three flyss buss stops very close - only 40€ to get to downtown Bergen (fish market, the mountain tram, train station) The breakfast was delicious, the room very comfortable - I found the price one of the best in Bergen ... It was a great base for the fjord trips and enjoying the city. - The bedroom was clean and a relaxing environment with modern, interesting styling and decoration.   I found the hotel to be well presented despite reading reviews of the rooms being dated. I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. Helpful and pleasant staff. We had an internal room & although there was no natural light, it was silent so we slept brilliantly. It was a good size and had everything you would expect.   Now this, for Norway was value for money. Staff were very friendly, nice atmosphere in the cafe/restaurant, best pizza I've ever had. Couldn't believe the room and the view from the full wall of window, 20 foot high.   My husband and I stayed at Citybox from the 25.10.13 to 27.10.13 without any problems. I agree with some reviews below, it is a hostel and not a hotel. However we had a very comfortable stay in an en suite room in an expensive city. This place was not only cheap but also walking distance to everything as Bergen is a small city. Our bed was comfort... vad folk säger » able, our shower was warm and our sleep was uninterrupted. No tv in the rooms but my husband loaded a couple movies for us to watch on his tab. The wi - Very close to the railway (5 min max. walking) and to the city center (10 min walking). Kitchen with microwave oven and tables. The cutlery can be borrowed from the bar opposite to the kitchen. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are most of the times clean (mostly depending on the other guests which are sharing the bathrooms with you). The room had an electrical heating system, which was very good.
