  There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular. The only downside was late night music from a waterfront bar which kept us awake o - Room was very large and very comfortable for a family of four. The staff was accommodating, breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We had taken it as a stopover before our trip of the Fjords, the hotel was a great place to spend the night specially since we traveled from Oslo and reached late, there were enough places to grab a bite even at 11 in the night.

  Very contemporary hotel with luxurious lobby. Room was very large, and included a trouser press, coffee machine and small fridge. The bathroom had heated tiles.   It was a really nice apartment and we enjoyed it all very much. We had our own floor with private bath, kitchen and living room, even free wifi, a laptop and tv! Laptop is attached to the tv which is really nice, you can watch whatever you want online. Internet works fine :) All the locks on the doors are working. For the rest, you can cook yourself and if you need more towels or anyth - Alot of thought has gone into the needs of a traveller in an expensive country.   My husband and I stayed at Citybox from the 25.10.13 to 27.10.13 without any problems. I agree with some reviews below, it is a hostel and not a hotel. However we had a very comfortable stay in an en suite room in an expensive city. This place was not only cheap but also walking distance to everything as Bergen is a small city. The wi - Very close to the railway (5 min max. walking) and to the city center (10 min walking). Kitchen with microwave oven and tables. The cutlery can be borrowed from the bar opposite to the kitchen. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are most of the times clean (mostly depending on the other guests which are sharing the bathrooms with you). The room had an electrical heating system, which was very good.
