  Very contemporary hotel with luxurious lobby. Room was very large, and included a trouser press, coffee machine and small fridge. The bathroom had heated tiles. I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. Helpful and pleasant staff. We had an internal room & although there was no natural light, it was silent so we slept brilliantly. It was a good size and had everything you would expect.   It was a really nice apartment and we enjoyed it all very much. We had our own floor with private bath, kitchen and living room, even free wifi, a laptop and tv! Laptop is attached to the tv which is really nice, you can watch whatever you want online. Internet works fine :) All the locks on the doors are working. For the rest, you can cook yourself and if you need more towels or anyth - Alot of thought has gone into the needs of a traveller in an expensive country. Our apartment had a full kitchen, was spacious, separate bedroom & a computer with a portable keyboard & mouse that was hooked up to the flat screen tv. We could watch streamed movies & had internet access. We were on the ground floor. Was very quiet despite people upstairs.   There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular. The only downside was late night music from a waterfront bar which kept us awake o - Room was very large and very comfortable for a family of four. The staff was accommodating, breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We had taken it as a stopover before our trip of the Fjords, the hotel was a great place to spend the night specially since we traveled from Oslo and reached late, there were enough places to grab a bite even at 11 in the night.

  We loved this place. It was our favorite in Norway and Denmark. If you can't do steep stairs well this is not the place for you but other then that everything was excellent and we would stay here again any day.
