  Overall we had a good 5-night stay at Gruner. Better than expected. The girl who received us was really nice, and aswered well to all my questions. We had no problems with CHECK IN, I enable my mobile for international calls so after three times dialing the wrong numbers I finally reached them. Easy. They helped us tips to get around and recommended a food festival exhibition to visit just nearby which was great, since the time we checked in it was late and most of the places were about to close. The tram was only 3 stops away f - Large room (a double) with modern Scandinavian furniture. New and stylish bath room. Great view at the food market across the street (note that you might end up looking at the apartment block on the opposite side of the building). Nice breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs (included in room price) where I also had a very favorably priced (for Oslo standards) meal at night. Probably the best place I've stayed in Oslo. Price-quality ratio is excellent!

  The hotel was in a very good location in a very good area very nea the center only 6 minutes with the buss. If one likes to wald to the center is also very convenient and very easy to reach the shops, restaurants and caffe's of the town.   Great location, very close to the city center which you can walk to within 5-10 minutes. I have lived in Oslo 7 years ago and this is my second visit with my family. Because I knew the expensive prices of Norway, I was very satisfied with the price. Also the kitchen and everything was clean and well equiped so I could eat anything from the kitchen... vad folk säger » ! That saved me tons of money which I would have spent for restaraunt food. I read the other comments and was scared of the street noise (or pub noise - Good communication and the check-in procedure was quite convenient. Was sent an e-mail that the apartment is ready, went to the office and got the keys and a map handed to me. This is not a luxurious apartment, but the furniture was quite new when I stayed there. The kitchen is well equipped with tools (pans, knives, a microwave etc.).
