  My husband and I stayed at Citybox from the 25.10.13 to 27.10.13 without any problems. I agree with some reviews below, it is a hostel and not a hotel. However we had a very comfortable stay in an en suite room in an expensive city. This place was not only cheap but also walking distance to everything as Bergen is a small city. The wi - Very close to the railway (5 min max. walking) and to the city center (10 min walking). Kitchen with microwave oven and tables. The cutlery can be borrowed from the bar opposite to the kitchen. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are most of the times clean (mostly depending on the other guests which are sharing the bathrooms with you). The room had an electrical heating system, which was very good.

I also had a room at the rear of the hotel overlooking the park which was exceptionally quiet despite reading reviews about noise. Helpful and pleasant staff. We had an internal room & although there was no natural light, it was silent so we slept brilliantly. It was a good size and had everything you would expect.   It was a good hotel, close to the centre and that is wat I wanted when Iwas looking for a hotel. Loved the internet access - It is close to the center and very hand to use during the weekend out with friends.I also like the idea to have breakfast outsie the door to be consumed when I feel like it.

  Very friendly stall. We rented 3 rooms for our family. The front desk staff immediately upgraded my wife and my room to a deluxe unit. We had asked for quiet rooms so when we arrived around 2 pm, we were asked if we could wait 1-hour for the requested rooms.   We liked the ambiance; the attention to details; the lovely and thoughtfully decorated (inside and out) mansion where the hotel resides, and the adorable pond in the quiet street nearby. Too often nowadays the check-out time is 10am. Free biscuits and coffee/tea/hot chocolate from the vending machine in the lounge. The lounge/breakfast room were beautiful.
