  The hotel was very good. The room was small, but bigger than what I usually get in London or Paris. Everything was in order and very clean. The staff is very attentive to the guests and more than eager to help. Unfortunately they do not speak very good English if at all, but this is typical in all of Japan. There are many restaurants near the hotel a few 100 meters away from it, as well as two - The location is a big plus for toshi center hotel,it is only less than 5min walking to nagatacho st, there is also family mart accross the street plus a really delicious chinese resto beside family mart.   The Shinagawa Prince Hotel is actually a complex of 4 different buildings and each one has different amenities, E.G., our hotel didn't have an ice machine anywhere in the building but our friends who were staying in another building did have one. They also had free wi-fi and we had free ethernet (which doesn't do you much good with an iPhone or iP... vad folk säger » ad). They stored our bags and our friends bags (10 of them) without a fee and without batting an eye. - The hotel has many wings and rooms with different profiles. The cheaper ones are standard Japanese business hotels, i.e. very small, cheap, functional. The more expensive ones give more space and luxury. Both offer good (if not extraordinary) value for money IMHO. The unique selling point of this hotel is that it's a 3min walk from Shinagawa station from which you can get Shinkansen to Kyoto/Osaka, and Yamanote for pretty much anywhere.

  I liked that they made up for the lack of wi-fi by making available a wireless router to use w/ the plug-in internet connection. I liked that the location is conveniently near a bus stop, several convenience stores and a number of restaurants. Also, the overall value for the money is quite good.   near by the art exhibition I was attending at, so very convenient. The room had a large and comfortable bed. I recommend! - One of this hotel's most commendable features is their staff. They will treat you like a King....or Queen.
