  the most amazing staff I met, helped us so much. the hotel was very very clean and we even got discounted tickets to an amazing onsen. - Very clean private room and common areas. 15 minutes walking from JR station.

  My wife and I stayed with my elderly mother in the same room. K's House is a chain of hostels in Japan, and I recommend it highly. The only downside is that as a hostel, the rooms are small. But once you know that, the arrangements are great, and the rooms are clean. Right at the front, no shoes are allowed in the building. On the first floor there are a sitting room with free computers, a dining roo - I love everything about the place. Athough the room is really small and compact, everything that you need is available. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The staff were great and they were able to communicate well in English. I had a fabulous time there. K's House in Takayama holds a dinner party once a month and I was really lucky to be there on that one day in a month.
