  Too many! We have a wonderful stay at Seikoro. We like almost everything there, loacation is perfect. We walked to lots visitor places nearby with our 2-year-old son.   We were offered free upgrade to a villa when they do not have any non-smoking room available. The place is extremely comfortable and cosy. Our room was upgraded to a suite close to Gion Hatanaka. The suite was large, quiet and comfortable. We also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner as well as Geisha show. It was marvellous.   This guesthouse is amazing. It has been recently refurbished and everything is new, from the beautiful wooden floor to the bathroom. This Japanese house has a real local charm. The owner keeps the house extremely clean and is very approachable, always ready to help and has a great knowledge of the area and hidden gems! The bunk bed (men) I slept in was very confortable with 2 individual electric plugs on each of them to charge - This is the best guest house I ever experience in Japan. I would say the best of all.   This hotel is a ryokan, or traditional Japanese style inn with tatami floors and futon beds. The location is ideal and very lovely, in the middle of the Gion district, with easy access to many key sites, as well as restaurants and shopping. This excellent ryokan is run by a Japanese family, who are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. - The location is superb for a taste of real Kyoto. Beautiful streets full of temples around. We were in a two-room (suite) japanese room with bathrooom during Gion Matsuri so that price was high but reasonable. This is a family Ryokan and hence lacks services. The dedication and desire to please of the family that runs the hotel highly compensates. I would certainly like to return.
