The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of
costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated
with a very nice design. The room had a great space and the design
was lovely too. The kitchenette was really helpful! It has everything
you need if you want to prepare your food in your room. They even

Stayed 11 nights in this wonderful city and had read about Citadines
Karasuma,indeed,it´s as most people say. Very comfortable and super
clean hotel. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside
what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids
where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging
they nonetheless changed everyday. The fully equiped kitchenette is a
plus for a snack or light meal if you´re to tired to go out. Just

Stayed in twin room on 3rd floor. Room had dehumidifier, foot massager, 32inch TV, safe and range of toiletries. Hotel in very good location. Although on main road (didn't have problem with road noise) it is away from the hustle and bustle. Hotel is a few minutes walk from subway station and then 15-20 mins on subway to/from Kyoto Station. The staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve an electronic
device I left on the train. Apart from that the location was only a few
minutes walk from Kyoto Station which we found perfect and the hotel
was clean and comfortable, providing wifi which can't ways be
presumed in Japan. -

We only had one afternoon to spend from 2.00 pm onwards so it was great that it was so close to the Nijo Castle, then we walked down Nishiki Market near Shijo Dori. There is a nice little ramen restaurant in the corner of the street opposite Nijo Castle which we liked as they even have English menu.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Room was comfortable,
and so was the bed. The breakfasts were brilliant. Definitely would
recommend anyone who is planning to go on a trip in Kyoto. And I saw
another traveler mentioned that the way back to the hotel was quite
dark at night. To me, it wasn't dark at all as there were street
lights.

The hotel is just a 10 minutes walk from Kyoto JR station. City center is a little further but it only makes it a better and quieter place to rest.
Even though it might seem quiet and remote, not only there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, sightseeing such as Toji temple is within walking distance.

have spa on top floor which is a bonus for after shopping, although its a bit small but it still good. A lot of people were saying about no wifi in the room but if you ask the staff at reception they will give you a modem for your room to use, free of charge! this was another bonus since i thought they only have wifi in the lobby. -

Solid value for the money, particularly for a solo or business traveler. Not a lot of frills when it comes to the rooms and restaurant, but the public bath and relaxation room, plus the professionalism of the staff, make it well worth it.
It is a bit of a walk from neighborhoods that have a lot of eating and shopping options, but in exchange, it is quite while remaining central. Bicycle rental is convenient.
