  The service and comfort in this hotel is exquisite. If you are going as a couple in Japan and are tired of small rooms then try the superior double room at this hotel. The beds are huge!! The rooms are surprisingly big and cozy with superb city view. Location is excellent to access the Nanjio temple and other famous spot. Dining and caual walking in this area are superb. - The hotel was extremely comfortable and the service was superb. Its location was a little far from tourist areas, however it is conveniently located near a subway station and the hotel shuttle helps you get to the train station. The staff helps you in giving directions.

  Me and my partner stayed at New Miyako Hotel from 16th - 21st of August 2013. We can easily find the hotel as it's very close to Kyoto station. There's lots of shopping and eateries to choose from. There is a shopping mall at the next block (AEON), where there are many stores, and also Daiso (100-yen shop). The Toji temple was near from this hotel, as well as Kyoto Aquarium. To get to most temples, travelers have to take bus lines, that are just across Kyoto station. Staff friendly. Money exchange inside the hotel.

  My stay of 5 nights was a truly lovely experience from arrival to departure, wonderful room design (King, level 2), everything thoughtfully arranged, lots of space to hang and put away clothes and other items, scrupulously clean, spacious shower, a calming room which was a delightful refuge after busy days out. I've lodged at many fine hotels across the glob - 1) Breakfast - European buffet was to die for!! they cook ham in front of your eyes, excellent choice of fruit, muesli, sausages, fish. 2) Spacious room. 3) Staff speaks good English and very helpful, allowed us to leave our luggage for free for 3 days even when we left for Tokyo and then didn't come back to Hyatt again. 4) Locality is really convenient for both sightseeing (next to Kyoto Museum and various temples) and logistics point (5 min from train/shinkansen station)

  The staff was very nice and kind, but I'm not the kind of costumer that makes requests. The reception were very sofisticated with a very nice design. The room had a great space and the design was lovely too. The kitchenette was really helpful! It has everything you need if you want to prepare your food in your room. In one of the most busy avenues of Kyoto but when inside what you really hear is just a slight traffic rumour. The room maids where very good, altough I usually left the towels and kimono hanging they nonetheless changed everyday.   The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

  The staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve an electronic device I left on the train.   Great location at the intersection of Kyoto's subways, Karasuma- Oike. 3 minutes walk away from subway exit 1. You can borrow bikes from the hotel, which makes getting around absolutely a pleasure, and Kyoto being mostly flat make it easy to get to some of those spots that are harder to get to on foot. You have to take the subway to reach restaurants or night life areas.

  The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about Kyoto. There is no elevator and we were on the 4th floor but the guy insisted on carrying our very heavy bags up the stairs until my partner couldn't stand it any longer and took one. The room was comfortable and clean and when we forgot keys they were brought promptly. But also that it was only optional so that we had a private bathroom as well. The staff could not do more for us. They helps us navigate the bus system, we could buy bus passes and rent bikes from them. And even though they had their own resultant, on the days our money was low and we bought meals from the 7/11 down the road they offered their microwave for us to use.

  We were extremely impressed with the quality of the customer service provided to us by each and every hotel employee. In particular, Mr. Simon Finch, the lead concierge, was immensely friendly and helpful with every aspect of our stay.
