  Excellent location. 2 mins to bus station and approx 10 mins of enjoyable walk to gondola. Both Mr and Mrs Maruyama treating us like family, we feel like we have a mother looking after us in Hakuba. They both did all the extra mile to make our stay in Hakuba to be the most enjoyable and memorable one eg. drive us to restaurant for dinner (all rest... vad folk säger » nearby was close due to low season), photo taken with kimono, etc . Breakfast was cooked and served very well.   The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help you where possible. The onsen was a highlight and great way to end the day after a big day snowboarding.   Location was excellent both for mountain access and also for easy stroll to restaurants and bars. Staff were locals and helped as much as we needed. Great inside/outside Onsen within the hotel, and the included Japanese and Western breakfasts were buffet style and had a good range to choose from.   The room was huge with is very appreciated in Japan. The onsen, free for guest at the hotel is a real treat after a day of skiing. The restaurant of the hotel as a very complete buffet at a real reasonable price. The working distance to Happo One is 5 minutes walk. I stayed with my young brother in the pre-season with the hopes there would be some snow, and luckily for us most resorts were partially open.   Recommended! The staff are very nice!! The room is big and clean. The location is very good, just walk for 3min can take the lift chair or gondola to mountain of Hakuba Goryu. Definitely will visit again next year! - Very friendly and helpful owners.Really nice people
