  Fuji-Hakone guesthouse is very popular and they were fully booked when I visited. Their staff are friendly and can speak English very well. 2 of them have been to Singapore. Their bath facilities are private and you can book the private onsen for half hour. Good to book early since it can be maxed out pretty quickly. Breakfast is an additional 800 yen, consisting of c - Loved the setting and the homely atmosphere at the guest house. There was only a double room available but wanted to see the area so much I booked which cost double the single price. When the staff found this out, they gave me free breakfast and use of the outdoor onsen for free which I did not expect. Very generous and would definitely stay again if visiting the sites at Hakone/

  Hakone is a must for anyone looking for a short getaway from Tokyo. We Bought the Hakone Free Pass for ¥5500 which includes a round trip from Shijuku station and unlimited travel within the Hakone free pass area. Hakone area has it all, cable car, river cruise, mountains, lakes and the oldest mountain railway in - Overall, our stay was a wonderful experience. The staff were excellent and helpful. The view of Mt. Fuji from our room and the dining area were superb, and the reason for our trip. Fortunately the skies cleared just long enough for us to catch a glimpse of the great icon. The onsen also had a beautiful view, was very clean and a pleasant experience. We stayed two days and ordered the dinner each evening, and we were extremely pleased.   it was my first time to Japan and this was a grat experience as very typical and not western - slipers, tatami mats, paper walls, really cute. The best of all - private onsen. - The Ryokan was very typical, and the hot springs were very relaxing. The owner had poor English but was very helpful

  Really felt at home here, the onsen was very relaxing and great they had both public and private bath options. We had both breakfasts (included) and dinners both nights we stayed and were excellent with much variety. It was close to the T bus stop and the ropeway. - That a really traditional Japanese place! The nature around it is excellent! And ... vad folk säger » the have few onsens. You can order private time for free. Breakfast was also Japanese-stile. It was interesting experience. The stuff speak English well.

  1, Hot Spring I did not expect Hot spring at all but they had hot spring in the hotel. Water was so good and I had great time at hot spring. Definitely I can recommend this place. 2. Good location Even though I had to walk a little bit from bus stop to hotel(around 10min on foot) but if I ride on the bus I could access Hakone area. 3. Kind/Polite staff Even though front desk staff could not spe - The atmosphere in the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and reasonable. I love the public bath and massage chair in the room. The staff did not speak much English but we were able to communicate.
