Everything here is 5 star. Was there for our honeymoon. Little tip - once you reach kawaguchiko station, look for the tourist information centre. Tell them 'UBUYA' - they will all know and in less than 5 minutes a van will pick you up. :) enjoy! -

A truly Japanese experience. We hand a japanese style room, with a picture postcard view of the lake and mount fuji in the distance. Upon arrival, we were served tea in our room. spacious room with own terrace and bar makes me more relaxing while looking to the lake in front of me. during afternoon before dinner , walking in lake for about 5 mins walk from hotel is very convenient.and we try the japanese style room! was fantastic! should really try to first time in japan.they have also shuttle bus which u can ask to pick u up in nearest station.thier english is pretty understable so probably it will be good enough to zero percent japanese langauage.lots of near japanese

Lovely place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese style hotel. Fantastic views of the lake from our room and of Mount Fuji from the roof garden. The landlady was a wonderful person. Speaks great English, was friendly and extremely helpful.
We loved our room! It even had a perfect view of Fuji from our window on a clear day.

Wonderful hotel. Tricky to find and a steep ascent, but we were then rewarded with a superb view over the bay. Staff were attentive and yet unobtrusive. Decor was tasteful and the room spotless. W/c and wet room were separate. Multi-course dinner and breakfast taken in our own cubicle and included in the price. Strongly recommended -

private onsen just outside the room is pure enjoyment. Location
isn't right next to Kawaguchiko lake or facing Mt Fuji, but walking
to the lake takes only 5 min. The ryokan also has complementary service
to bring you to & fro Kawaguchiko train station.

Staff and people staying there were really friendly. the hostel will pick you up at kawaguchiko station, just go to tourist information and they will dial the hostel for you and someone will come there to pick u up or you can book a time with them prior to arriving. I would recommend K’s house, due to its friendly and helpful staffs. Its location is good, but not the best to look at the mountains. It’s close to the lake and the stores. The good local Japanese restaurant ’小作’ which we had dinner is far from
