  Loved the Japanese-style room-very spacious and comfortable and we got a view of Mt. Fuji, also enjoyed the private onsen (with reservation), staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions - I stayed in 3 different Ryokans in Lake Kawaguchiko in this trip, the onsen in Oike Hotel is the BEST.   Lovely place to stay to experience a traditional Japanese style hotel. Fantastic views of the lake from our room and of Mount Fuji from the roof garden. The lady who looked after us and served our meals in our room was very polite and helpful, even explaining how to wear the cotton kimono provided by the hotel. The staff called "maiyumi" was so helpful during our stay, being able to introduce the facilities and foods in simple English. The dinner and breakfast are excellent, location is good and they can arrange free transport between train station and hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting the place.

  This is a very special ryokan. It gaves us the feeling of a real Japanese hosting - The onsen, the Kaiseky meals and the whole atmosphere. The staff was great and kind, the rooms were beautiful and clean, and the private onsen is a treat! The kaiseky meal is not for everyone, because there are a lot of special dishes that not everyone likes, but y... vad folk säger » ou should try. The location is very near to the lake so you can enjoy the town main attractions, and it's 20 minutes walk from the station. There's - The dinner and breakfast was top-notch. The service was exemplary. The private onsen just outside the room is pure enjoyment. Location isn't right next to Kawaguchiko lake or facing Mt Fuji, but walking to the lake takes only 5 min. The ryokan also has complementary service to bring you to & fro Kawaguchiko train station.

  All of it. The facilities (really traditional Japanese), all the small things were think about. The service, they even took care of our almost left-behind passports and left-behind goods. They picked us up at the Kawaguchi station. They bring us back to Kawaguchi station any time we have to go there. The staff can speak English good. The - 5 course dinner to the room was an amazing experience. Our bedroom was facing mt. Fuji, even though it wasn't the most expensive option. We went for a Japanese style room, it was comfortable and relatively spacious. Onsen is facing lake Kawaguchi. It's well equipped and spotless. You get to wear Japanese dressing gowns, pyjamas and slippers. We asked for a converter, they didn't have it but they kindly lent us their own iphone5 charger.

  Wonderful hotel. Tricky to find and a steep ascent, but we were then rewarded with a superb view over the bay. Staff were attentive and yet unobtrusive. Decor was tasteful and the room spotless.   Mount Fuji view from the ryokan was simply stunning! The weather was good when we checked in n we have the most amazing view from the room. We also managed to take some great photos of the mountain from the lakeside in front of the hotel.   Everything here is 5 star. Was there for our honeymoon. Little tip - once you reach kawaguchiko station, look for the tourist information centre.   We stayed at Ichifujiso hotel for 1 nights and we really liked it. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and were happy to assist us when we requested any information or suggestion.
