  The Brakfast very well laid with large variety of fresh juices, fruits, tinned fruits, cereals, variety of breads and accompaniments. Room was very clean and nice and staff was extremely co-operative.   Hotel Centrale – very well set up hotel, nice room, good amenities (but no iron), lovely helpful staff members, and an excellent breakfast, BUT NO AIR CONDITIONING! Hotel management had decided “it was not needed” and had turned the whole system off. As a result, a hot stuffy room and uncomfortable night. Also, incredibly, in today’s world, WiFi that does n - We loved this little picturesque town, and the hotel made it a pleasure to have the day here before catching the scenic train to Switzerland. It is set in the old town,an easy walk from the train station,but it is a new building so all features are fresh and comfortable. Great bed and stylish bathroom with a pretty breakfast room. Close by is a simple local restaurant with very good food, and a few interesting shops. We enjoyed Tirano & recommend this hotel.

  We stayed one night at the Hotel Bernina as we took the train from Milan to Tirano (rather than the bus) and were catching the Bernina Express the next day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone taking this trip. The hotel is right across the plaza from the train station, staff are friendly, rooms are fine for one/two nights, bathroom well suppli... vad folk säger » ed and restaurant has good food for both breakfast and dinner. There are also other restaurants nearby and the town is within walking distance. We als - On our way back to Italy (after spending a day in Switzerland on Glacier Express), we were looking for a night stay in Tirano to catch the early morning train to Milan. This hotel offered an excellent stay. The guy at reception was excellent. He took care of a booking mistake that we made and upgraded our room as well (can't thank him enough).   The location was away from the city center but within walking distance (15 minutes). The proximity to the Basilica and the view from our room was terrific. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was beyond expectations. Our evening meals were exceptional.   We thank Laura and Lucia for the excellent service and hospitilaty during our stay. The appartment was really big, towels, soap and bedlinnen were available. Garden to picknik. Old town and restaurants on walking distance (best side of Tirano). Very quiet (no traffic noise), private parking available. We were welcomed by Laura to the roomy apartment which was quiet & had lovely views of Tirano & the surrounding mountains. Laura kindly did our washing for us. It was handy to town & the Station.
