  The location was perfect - metres from the main street. Really good breakfast - just ask for eggs, bacon, cheese etc. Roof terrace was great, lots of sun loungers and not too crowded. Pool is not huge but fine to cool off in.and has lovely views. They can organise a cheap trip to a nearby private beach which was definitely worth doing. We got the ... vad folk säger » bus from the airport which solved the parking problem, and was easy to use. Bus station is about 15 mins downhill on the way home though we did get a - The staff where very friendly and always happy to help. We had a very pleasant week. Rooms are small but big enough not to be too cramped if staying longer the a few days. Was excepting a little noise from other reviews but did not experience any inconvenience late at night.

  We were upgraded to a suite for the room price, the chef cooked to order for us on two occasions, the meals were delightful. The staff were very friendly and helpful - The Spa like attitude of the hoteland the way it was set up.The resturant was excellant.

  The Hotel Livingston is on the edge of the island of Ortigia. When you eat in the fourth-floor hotel dining room, the windows on three sides look largely over the Mediterranean, but also over old rooftops. Walking was a delight, there is a terrific gourmet Locanda nearby. Our room was large with two sets of French doors looking onto the street and to the sea and swimming rock! The bathroom was luxurious - loved the towel bathrobe and slippers. Breakfast was good with an extensive buffet.

  The staff were absolutely brilliant they could not do enough for you, the presentation of all food was excellent, the pool area was very good and clean beautiful areas amongst the rocks to sunbathe along with the beach area too so quite a few choices for swimming and sunbathing - Rooms were very comfortable and spacious.   What a great hotel! The sea view from our room was spectacular! Hotel is really in the heart of it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some have commented on the lack of parking but the reality of the tiny island of Ortygia is that driving the narrow streets *barely* wide enough for 1 car is a challenge.   I'm not much of a golf or spa person; I picked the place mainly on location and having an outdoor pool. The pool or should I say pools is great. Very big, so you can get a real swim even if there are kids cavorting around, and there's a longer separate pool if you really want to pound along. Plenty of sunbeds so no need to get up before the Ger... vad folk säger » mans. It has a lot of space, but that comes at a price. Be aware that it is not v close to any town and it can be hard to find, even with a satnav. - the weather, beautiful designed hotel
