  We stayed here only for one night in February and really this is the nicest place you can find in the area. (I can imagine during the summer time). Very close distance from Assisi and other amazing small towns in the area. It’s very easy to find and the food here is worth the stay. Breakfast was typ - We loved the trio of women and their respective roles in the operation. The senior member is the mother, the chef exemplaire..Monica the souschef and handles the business end of the operation. Paolabeing the English speaker seems to do everything else. She is reception,importer of routes to take,coffee maker,waitress at dinner and apparently cleans the rooms. She is the hub..   Excellent location close to the center of Assisi and close to the impressive St Francis church. We stayed 4 nights and we liked it. Easy walking to the center with many good restaurants. We had a deluxe room with a view to the valley, which was fantastic. Breakfast was good with a good choice of products. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, therefore no comments - It was an amazing experience staying at Giotto Hotel and Spa just minutes from St. Francis' Basilica. The staff and facilities at Giotto were terrific. The views from our room looking out over the hillside city of Assissi and the plain below are unforgettable. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel and it was exceptional and also unforgettable. Our waiter was terrific. Perfect in every way!!!
