  I know my friend who stayed in this hostel couple of times. She was very satisfied with the price, the kindness and the location, so we tried this one too. It is a very simple hostel, but we had all we needed. We were in the city all day and then it was so great to go to the hostel any time, they have 24/7 reception and you can have questions at 3... vad folk säger » AM. At this price an own separate bathroom is just a wonderful deal on the Gellert-hill. It was peaceful for an old couple like us too. - It was a fun place to stay. We were having fun in the city all day and night long and we just went to the hostel to crash to the bed. We started partying there with couple of drink at the reception and then the reception girl recommended some places to go. OMG, those were awesome places. Glad we had the staff like that. We did not bother anybody since we had our own bathroom. My friend also was able to smoke on the balcony. We want to go back.

  I really appreciate both owners of the hostel.They are really helped me through my entire stay there. The facilities are also quite excellent. The internet is working, even from the room. - Very nice and friendly place. Will book again.

  CityRooms is great place to stay in Budapest. In the middle of city centar and enought quiet! Rooms, kitchen and batrooms were very clean! All people in hostel were very quiet so you can rest enought for next day. Those stairs are great, some kind of exercise :) Lady Eszter is so kind! she directed us what to do and showed us the whole hostel and ... vad folk säger » then she gone. Because of that we had feeling like we are in our apartment! Bathrooms are great, very nice and clean with hot water 24/7. We recommend - Great location near the main sites and close to some great restaurants and bars. The apartments and facilities were very comfortable and suited our needs. The staff were all very kind, and even hung up our wet washing for us!

  Location - it was a 5 minute walk from the Metro Ferenciek tere. There were also decent shops nearby. Hostel is located at the 2nd floor and there is a functioning lift. Balcony is a relief for smokers. Bed were good and free lockers ( large ones ) were offered, with enough space to hold a suitcase. Bus Number 7E or 173E ( E for express ) takes you to the Keleti Pu railway station, two stops away. - This is a small, comfortable hostel in a convenient location (near public transit), with a great community vibe good for young travelers. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back!

  The location is very good, relatively accessible from the airport (a train ride and a bus ride away) We were given a room with a kitchen, bathroom and toilet in a separate building down the block from the main hostel building.   Peter the owner was especially helpful always providing a map with dots and paths to where u need to go...the other staff were cool too My memories of hostel california are very good..it was homely and lots of people coming and going..a smoking section and an excellent location..vaci utca..watch out for the heavies on the street though...and the t... vad folk säger » ourist trap.   One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Beautiful, safe and central location but what really made it was the fantastic, friendly and informative staff. I was given excellent and informed advice on anything I asked from literature recommendations to caving to the opera. Thank you very much. - The staff were all extremely friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had onthings to do or how to get places. They even had a shot night in the hostel where we could try some homemade palinka! The location was very good, being a few blocks away from most of the main tourist areas and very close to the river.
