  Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available! ... vad folk säger » We understand that Malia can be pretty frenetic in mid summer, but Mid- September was just great and we loved the sandy beach and the Old Town - espec - Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George. Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

  Hotel with great swimming pool next to the beach. Only 9 apartments so the pool is not crowded, it's more like private pool ;) Wonderful owner who is technical and relaxed at the same time so the holiday was stress free. We are defenately coming back next year. - Our stay was very good, the owner was the most friendly and client-oriented person we met during our 2weeks trip to Greece. It is only 2 min walk from the beach across the road. The room was big and quiet. The shops are 5-10 min walking. The pool was nice and clean. The hotel in not crowded.

  Everything its great at Happy Cretan!!! We were the happiest tourists. The Chef, Mr.Giannis, its the best - he cooked excellent. In every evening he surprised us with a very tasty traditional Greek food. Also, many thanks to Mrs. Manias, Aspa, Dimitris and all the staff, because they managed to do our stay super!   Stone Village is a marvelous place, it’s the best hotel we’ve ever been to. Actually it doesn’t have the feeling of a hotel because you feel like you are in your own little Cretan village, except that everything is meant to serve your comfort needs and wellbeing. The breakfast is fresh, delicious, varied and there’s plenty of - My husband and I stayed at Stone Village, Bali, for two weeks with our three children of 9, 14 and 17. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious with a lovely view from the two balconies, and it was kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff every day.
