  This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night.   The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are lovely, the swimming facilities are stunning with lots of little terraces built out into the sea. I don't know how busy the hotel was but there were always loungers available. The access to sea swimming was the best thing for us. We ate all our meals in the hotel and they were great.   Stranden - Great hotel - The room was excellent, the staff very friendly and in general a very enjoyable experience. The Beach could loose some of the chisel but the water was clean and everything else absolutely fine.

  Went back after 5 or even more years. Everything was as good as i expected. Especially i like the management decision to renew the hotel. It is really unspecific for Europe. A lot of activities and friendly staff.   The food was great. Excellent variety of gourmet foods. The reception was very helpful with every questions we had. On our last day they held our luggage and let us use the facilities until we were ready to leave.   We visited the hotel in May, therefore it was not overcrowded. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is clean and nice. Beautiful views. The food was good most of the times, tasty desserts and fresh salad. There was ice cream available at lunch/dinner time and at the bar.
