  The property is beautifully maintained with lovely gardens and the pool areas, bar and restaurant are adjacent to the sea with great views of the area. It is well located to supermarkets and other restaurants and is either a short car or bus ride to the main centre of Chania. The staff could not have been more helpful and even advised of traditional local restaurants and checked to see - The whole trip was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My previously holiday-shy boyfriend loved everything about the holiday and especially the restaurant (Corinne Star) in the grounds of the hotel. It was the best of the restaurants we tried in both Kalamaki and Chania. The staff were very hard-working, warm and helpful. The beachside setting was beautiful, westward facing so you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner at the poolside. Really hoping we can come back soon :)

  I would recomend this hotel to anyone and everyone. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; the location of the hotel was nice too. It is a little outside of the city, which is nice to come back to after a long day and relax. - Everything. Beautiful clean hotel and extremely friendly staff

  Friendly hotel staff. Very clean, quiet, beautifully decorated and equipped room.   We used the hotel on our last 3 days in chania as we just wanted to relax and not worry about anything, and it proved a right choice.after touring chania by car , the hotel provided everything that was needed to just stay in and enjoy the beach. Staff were - I stayed in Santa Marina Plaza more than a week at the beginning of September 2013. I liked wonderful view from my terrace (front sea view room) and the beach.   The staff were fantastic, the rooms were large and we were lucky enough to have a seaview. The all inclusive rate was so good. The meals were very nice and it is a magic location.   This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night.   Beautiful location as hotel is right beside the sea and also a small river. Also very close to amenities of Kalyves village which is a busy little place with its own character.   The hotel is an ideal spot for people who like busy places but want to sleep in peace and quiet. It’s a few steps from the busiest street I have seen in Crete.   We liked everything in castello! When we arrived maria the reception lady gave us a nice welcome and told us that they've upgraded us to the honeymoon suite ! we had a big comfortable room, well designed with a jacuzzi on the large balcony facing the sea. We got a basket of fruits, a bottle of wine & water. The bed was comfortable and the bath... vad folk säger » had jacuzzi in it also. The staff payed attention to a lot of details, it felt like we got a personal treatment. The pool was great, not too cold! Th - Nothing was too much for any of the staff - you were treated superbly with a fantastic hotel room & great sea views. As we arrived late & missed dinner, the hotel had placed a plate of salad, cold meat, a bottle of wine & water on our arrival. During meal times, there was a wide selection of dishes available. Sissi is a quiet area as is the hotel and fantastic for peace & relaxation. The spa treatments that i received were well worth the money.

  Value for money here is phenomenal. Rooms are and have all that you would expect/require in terms of size, comfort and cleanlinesss. The design and location are magnificent, the pool lovely and the service top notch (they even sent us our sweaters via snail mail at no charge since we accidentaly left it at the hotel). Also, Vangelis cooks like the... vad folk säger » best of them, so we ended up eating here most of the time (go for the special of the day). - We arrived only around 11pm and did not have dinner yet. Vangelis still cooked us a quick but delicious meal. The room was big and well equiped, the wifi worked perfect the whole time, the swimmingpool + poolbar was great for lazing around the whole day, plus excellent views over Elounda. Vangelis is really one of the best host/owner we've ever met! Don't miss out the sunday boat tour.
