  I needed a late night stopover so chose the cheapest hotel I could find, not really expecting much, just a place to crash for one night. It was a delight to find such a genuine, friendly, helpful place. It had a lift, the room was quite large, big glass doors open onto the balcony, Wi fi, small but perfectly adequate shower, It's right next - First of all, I would like to comment on all negative comments of some friends earlier about this hotel, I had not read those comments while booking this hotel but on my way to hotel I read them all and was very skeptical whether how would it be?? But honestly I found every thing Excellent.   The hotel is situated in an old part of Athens called the Plaka. It is right by the Accropolis and Hadrians Gate. Very central within walking distance to the center of town. 5 minutes from the Metro. There are shops and restaurants close by and an excellent old town square. There are two PCs in the lobby and genrally really good value for money. Side view of th - Great location...helpful and friendly staff...very good price...very clean...The man that works during breakfast even remembered the reason I was in Athens and introduced me to a woman who worked in a similar field to me - I was surprised he remembered what I did. He may have sparked a new friendship/colleague :) I would recommend Adam's Hotel.

  The location of the hotel is excellent. It's in between of Syntagma Square and the Acropolis. If you're catching the X95 to the airport, it's about 5-7 minutes walk to Syntagma. It's also very close to Adrianou street, which leads to the Acropolis. This street is full of souvenir shops and opens everyday until very late (around 11pm), although it'... vad folk säger » s quite touristic, but we found it a good place to stroll around after dinner. The hotel also has a rooftop garden, which offers good view to the Acro - The staff were fantastic in helping us sort out our onward travel arrangements - responding quickly and positively to emails before we arrived and making phone calls when we were there. The location within easy walking distance from Syntagma Metro station makes it easy to get to and from, and it is close to the centre of Athens for sightseeing and shopping. We will go back again.

  We chose the Acropolis View Hotel as it is close to the Acropolis and walking distance from Plaka area. The Hotel Manager was really helpful and is on the business for many years. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but free boiling water readily available from staff in reception, also could purchase tea coffee alcohol etc 24 hrs a day Taxi service to & from the airport organized by the hotel which meant no surprises with cost.   This is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. The staff were outstanding. Very helpful with suggestions particularly for restaurants in the area and catching the metro/ferries etc. The room was large and very comfortable with a mini kitchen. It is well located in the Plaka district and easy walk to Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, - The hotel is charming, beautiful, clean with a staff that is so helpful and welcoming. They provide champagne and chocolates upon arrival. Additionally, they helped us with our boarding passes. They are right in the Plaka district within walking distance to many of the attractions. Loved it. And, I purposely left a pair of sneakers there and when I returned home there was an e mail letting me know that I had left them....and they wanted to know what I wanted them to do with them.   Location was great for exploring Plaka, and all Athens monuments. It was also quiet. Our room on 3rd floor got Wifi signal, but the Wifi was only supposed to be in common areas. Big plus.   The Central Hotel is very well situated in Athens in the Plaka, with a view of the Acropolis from our room, but also within a few short blocks of the main Athens shopping districts. It is about 2 blocks away from major public transportation (which is worth trying as the subways have become museums in their own right due to excavation finds in rec... vad folk säger » ent years). Strolling through the plaka and vendor stalls, you will find yourself next to the ancient agora on one side and rows of tony restaurants - Location: The location is great, just a few blocks from the Syntagma Square and in walking distance to the main attractions. We took x95 from the airport but it stopped pretty far from the square and we walked about 1.5km with 4 luggages! I would recommend taking a metro or ask hotel to book a transfer: €40 one way. Staff: very friendly and helpful. We flew to Santorini after check-out and we could stored the luggages at the hotel for 2 days. Clean. It has free wifi and a roof top bar with a go

  Fenomenalt läge. De flesta turistattraktioner och kollektivtrafik (även till flygfältet med buss eller metro) på gångavstånd. Tillräckligt långt ifrån den värsta trafiken. Trevligt torg framför hotellet. Rum med Akropolisutsikt rekommenderas. Frukosten kunde avnjutas på terass med fin utsikt. Personalen trevlig och engelskan bra. Our room lookedout over the Plaka and the Acropolis - we could see the Parthenon andthe Erectheon and it was beautifully lit at night.
