We enjoyed Chania and the hotel very much.
We live in Crete (East) but have not been to Chania before and we found the old port to be very beautiful.
We loved the design of the hotel and the position for walking out and about the town.

Chania, Palazzo Duca is perfect! It is a fancy place--beautiful, clean,
and polished. Every staff member is exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Our hotel room was a palace! Very comfortable king size bed, sitting
area with table and chairs, patio with view of harbor with table and
chairs, a kitchenette in the room stocked with dishes, utensils, cooking
pans plus refrigerator. The bathroom was lovely with a heavenly large
shower.

The staff was very helpful, the room was large, very comfortable and clean and they even provided with a temporary room to leave our luggage in and have a shower (after we checked out on the day of departure). We loved Alcanea Boutique hotel! The room was spacious and almost as big as our entire house with beautiful views over Chania's port. Really friendly, caring and lovely staff. Could not have asked for more in a hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful with plenty of great recommendations. The location of the hotel was great, still close to the port but just away from all the noise that comes from the restaurants.
The rooms were comfortable and designed individually, a bit like a home away from home. Each room also has a lovely view.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chania.

Exellent staff. For this boutique hotel the finest quality building materials are used to make a superb getaway from the busy hustle and bustle of old town Chania.
Its with great care and style that the ancient Monastery has been restored and transformed to the little gem it is today.
