  Mike at the desk is a star. His English isn't brilliant but he will do anything to try and help, whether it be finding a phone adaptor, or guiding you to the best fish restaurants (and they're all pretty good around Danaos-very local). Location is brilliant-nice beach directly across the road; Chania harbour area and old town 10 minutes pleasant w... vad folk säger » alk along the seafront; best fish/seafood restaurants in Chania right on doorstep frequented by locals more than tourists. - Staff were insanely nice and extremely helpful. They let me check in early and because it was towards the end of the season they upgraded my room from a double to a quadrouple. You can book excursions around crete through the hotel. I booked a hike to Samaria Gorge, the old man at reception woke up and made me breakfast before the hike. It's also right on the town beach and 10 minute walk to the old part of Chania.
