  The Central Hotel is very well situated in Athens in the Plaka, with a view of the Acropolis from our room, but also within a few short blocks of the main Athens shopping districts. It is about 2 blocks away from major public transportation (which is worth trying as the subways have become museums in their own right due to excavation finds in rec... vad folk säger » ent years). Strolling through the plaka and vendor stalls, you will find yourself next to the ancient agora on one side and rows of tony restaurants - Location: The location is great, just a few blocks from the Syntagma Square and in walking distance to the main attractions. We took x95 from the airport but it stopped pretty far from the square and we walked about 1.5km with 4 luggages! I would recommend taking a metro or ask hotel to book a transfer: €40 one way. Staff: very friendly and helpful. We flew to Santorini after check-out and we could stored the luggages at the hotel for 2 days. Clean. It has free wifi and a roof top bar with a go

  The hotel is located in a very quiet area, on top of a little hill, just four blocks from the Sygrou-Fix metro station and the stop of tramway going both to the city centre and the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace, although small, has a wonderful view on the Acropolis and Lycabettus. Breakfast and drinks are serve... vad folk säger » d there. WiFi is free and works well both in the rooms and common areas. Breakfast is good and besides standard food includes also fresh season fruit - The staff were extremely helpful! We required a crib for our baby & we arrived fairly late in the evening, but they made sure to have the baby's cot ready in just 30 minutes. They were very helpful in calling for a cab when we required one as well as helping find restaurants near by. The breakfast was wonderful & the woman who serves it was very nice. The view of the Acropolis from the dining deck was absolutely amazing & really made the hotel worth every penny!

  This hotel defies current Greek star ratings. Relative to other hotels outside of intercity Athens, this hotel is easily five stars. Rooms are immaculate and comfortable, the family-run establishment is in a wonderful residential neighborhood, easily within walking distance of great food. The value for money is incredible, I could not recommended ... vad folk säger » more. Also worth mentioning is that in the summer it is several degrees cooler up at the hotel's elevation. Overall a fantastic establishment. - The best hotel I have stayed in Athens. Friendly staff, fabulous hotel rooms with different designs and very clean room. Highly recommended.

  The staff were very nice and helpful. I don't know why other people had complained about the complimentary breakfast. We found it to be filling and varied. The room was clean and the bed was massive and comfortable. Lastly, the location was perfect because one has the choice of taking the tram into Athens or to the port, and the bus from the airpo... vad folk säger » rt, the x96, has a stop very close to the hotel. Our stay was really an all-around nice experience. - The hotel is very good for the money. I liked the room as it was renovated and it had a balcony. The location is good as it has the beach very close, all kind of transportation facilities and a street full of shops nearby. You will get to city center in 45 min by bus (pay attention with the tickets as it is hard to find a working ticket office) or just 15-20 min by car.
