  We liked the location very much, from where you had a nice view on Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Die Fuchsmühle is down in the valley, crossed by a river. It was very cold when we were there, but I can imagine it´s wonderful in the spring and in the summer. I bet children can swim in the little river as well. The room was very spacious and ni - The Fuchsmuhle is down a "very steep cliff" - this is no joke and although my husband and I (30 years old) thought this was a fun adventure and had no problems my parents and his (60 years old) had some issues getting up and down - although they did it! We only met one staff member and she was incredibly nice throughout out stay. The rooms are basic and very clean. The breakfast is nice although a bit expensive.   The hotel is situated in a small endearing town an hour drive from Munich. Large rooms, very quiet at nights even with the windows open.   Though this is a two start hotel, this is the best hotel that I have ever stayed during my 10 days trip in Germany! I love the staff a lot! They're super friendly! Ours had a larger-than-usual queen bed, a single and a bunk built into the elaborate headboard. Our married kids room had the large queen, 3 stacked bunks and a little kitchenette. Unexpected.
