  The hostel was clean and modern and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everything you need is nearby like supermarkets, chemists, restaurants and cafes and there is even a kiosk across the road. Having the Piusstraße U-Bahn station right out the door was also a bonus! The Weltempfänger Hostel is great value for money and I would definat... vad folk säger » ely stay there again! :) - The rooms were spacious, the beds comfy, they had free wireless and the bathrooms were nicer than some youth hostels ive been in, they also had a great late breakfast and check out time and the staff were all really cool and helpful. To top it all off, the price was really competitive. I cant recommend this place more.

  1) Extremely clean (one could even eat from the restroom floor). 2) Super-fast, free, wireless Internet (1.5 Mbit/s !!!) with great reception both in the hotel room and in the kitchen-lobby. 3) Big kitchen with plenty of gas-cookers (5 or 6), a microwave, cookware and plastes and dishes, etc. 4) Shower room with 4 shower cubicals, so one never had... vad folk säger » to wait in line. 5) Free parking in front of the hotel (squeezing in the car was a bit difficult though). 6) 3 supermarkets (Penny, Aldi, Lidl), fast - 1) Proximity to the nearby S-train station and thus to the city center. 2) High-speed free Internet. 3) Extremely clean. 4) Big kitchen with cooking equipment. 5) Plenty of fast-food restaurants and supermarkets around the corner. 6) Free parking in front of hostel. 7) No waiting in the shower-room (4 cubicals). 8) Very friendly couple, who is running the hostel. 9) Excellent value for money.

  A rather well-located holel. It take s 5-10 minutes to get to main railway station and about 20 minutes to get to airport by S-Bahn. (the station is literally 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel). The 'Single room' is quite small, but cozy with all the necessary accessories provided. A lot of shops and cafes around. The room (single room with shared bathroom) was clean and a good place to have some rest after a rough night. The shared facilities were also clean and new. They also offer a late-checkout option for 5 euros.

  it's a youth hostel in name but its more like a hotel. It's very clean, modern and spacious. The general decor is tasteful and it's quiet. It has 7 floors. The buffet style breakfast is simple but very nice. The room was nice and comfy. At night I couldn't hear other guests or noise from the street. It was good value for money and well located. In the area around the hostel there are restaurants and some b - I was very surprised by this hotel! I was attending a conference and all hotels were fully booked in Cologne so the only fair option was this hotel. I was expecting a terrible hostel but actually I got a nice and spacious room with a view to the cathedral!!! The room was simple but very clean with a comfortable shower and wc. I highly recommend if you want a great location in Koln for a very good price. Staff was great, breakfast simple. The building is also new. Ask for room 703!
