  Great budget family run hotel with fabulous gourmet restaurant.Good location within walking distance to the center of Amboise. We stayed not in the main building but in separate cottage facing beautiful old garden. The staff was very helpful (the owner and his wife are always at the front desk). The food in the restaurant was amazing. Highly reco... vad folk säger » mmend. - We loved the marvellous staff who were fun and very helpful. The hotel was attractive and stylishly decorated and the room was charming. There is a delightful garden area and the meals at the restaurant were exceptional as was obvious from the locals who also were dining there. We had such a good time and would love to go back.

  The room was spacious and clean. Staffs at the hotel the restaurant were very kind. All the concerns for our small boy (renting the arm tube for swimming and high chair for dinner & breakfast) made our vacation more comfortable.   Hotel Grand Monarque could not be better situated if you want to visit the chateau at Azay-le-Rideau. It's right at the heart of a beautiful town, but the cool courtyard and strong walls create a perfect haven. Large grassed area so we could allow our dog to have a good play with the ball thrower. Location very easy to reach and quiet.!
