  Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). Each room has a separate bathroom and a tiny kitchen, while the houseware could be borrowed from the kitchen - We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.   I liked this apartment. The location is perfect, just 5 mins walk to Kammpi and city centre, 10 mins walk to railway station. There are a lot of shops around. The kitchen is fully equipped. Sauna is good. We cooked by themselves and we didn't feel any lack of dishes. The apt is in 7 mins walk from the beach. In the bedroom there is comfortable and really big bed, in living room they prov - We enjoyed our stay. Finding the hotel or any hotel in that matter in the city of Helsinki is a bit tricky to find since the Street names are very small and found on the side of the buildings. We arrived late so we picked our keys up from the airport which was complete ease. The apt was VERY clean and the linens and duvet covers were fine quality. Location was great, easy to get on the trams to get anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed.

  We were a group of 3 friends and went to see couple of ice hockey games during WCH 2013. The apartment was very clean well maintained, easy to find and quiet location. It had great amenities and it was furnished excelently. The apartment also had a little balcony/cubical made of gl - We lived in fine designed apartments located in Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu, 1, opposite to Citykoti office on Malminkatu, 38. 5th floor, elevator available. It's really comfortably located - 10 min. to Kiasma (museum of contemporary art near the central railway station), 10 min. to Kamppi mall, so you live in center of Helsinki, yet it's really calm and quiet place.   Location. 30 seconds walk to underground shopping complexes, with cheap but good cafes and restaurants and supermarkets, and through which you could walk to get to get to city centre (10 minutes), all underground. Also one minute walk from tram. Nice Ikea furniture, comfortable sofa bed, and two single beds in separate bedroom - all new and good ... vad folk säger » quality. Cupboards to put your clothes both in lounge and bedroom. Heating was excellent, and much needed as it was -17 degrees C outside. Good ins - The flat is extremely compact since it's located right in the center of Helsinki, yet has everything you need, completely furnished and looks like a jewel, fully equipped kitchen and facilities. Great for 2 people, ok for 3 would have been probably a little bit too small for four people. Two separate rooms, one living room with a comfy sofa bed and one main bedroom. Supercentral location pretty much close to everything you need to see. In one word: perfect, I'd definitely stay here again!
