  I liked the hotel and I like Best Western chain in general. Reception is open 24/7 (which is not a must in Finland at all), breakfast is good, the room was big enough and comfy enough, wi-fi was functioning. Closer to 4 stars I'd say. They wrote that parking has to be paid extra in the description, but it's free on weekends. Payment required Mo-Fr... vad folk säger » until 6 pm only. We parked for free right next to the entrance for free over the weekend. - I have been staying at this hotel for several years and enjoyed it. The hotel offers spa, healthy food both for breakfast and at the restaurant, splendid interior design. The staff is responsible and polite. It takes you 20 minutes by bus to the centre.   Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). Each room has a separate bathroom and a tiny kitchen, while the houseware could be borrowed from the kitchen - We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.   Hotellet var mycket rent och snyggt. Fantastiskt läge mitt i centrum, nära till allt. Tyst och lugnt, bra att sova, inga ljud alls! Njöt av att det fanns badkar på toaletten! Frukostbuffen var mångsidig och god. Vänligt bemötande av hotellpersonalen i receptionen! - Väldigt bra

  This hotel is a tourist class hotel chain popular with finns. The hotel is clean and quiet and located in the Kallio district which is interesting, safe but not in the expensive or touristy area. There are grocery stores and restaurants and cafes all around. Very contemporary design. You get into the hotel with a door code which you also use for your room and the lifts.

  The hotel position is great just few blocks away from central station. Staff was kind and room clean, comfortable and soundproof, though the hotel is located directly on the street and just above the pub. Vending machine had free or almost free bottle water. Little store nearby with hot food even at night made up for no room service. Big bathroom and shower.
