The hotel is located in an old house outside but very near the Pile gate (one of two to the Old City). Very convenient! The room is surprisingly large and tidy and has what you expect (including a hair dryer!). There is a nice garden restaurant where you can sip wine and eat to a reasonable cost compared to inside the walls. -

The villa was in the perfect location to enjoy the beach and the local bars and restaurants. Close to a supermarket and 5 minute walk from the bus stop to take you into the Old Town.
The owner was very friendly and gave us complimentary drinks on our arrival which was a nice touch. -

With bus number 6 close to the villa it was only 10 min to old town. The owner was very helpful and drove us to the main bus station when we leaved the Villa Ruza.

Everything about Hotel Lapad was first class. We arrived very early off the ferry from Bari, Italy - they stored our luggage and set us on the bus to the Old Town, which left every 10 mins from outside the hotel! The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were elegant, immaculate and quiet. Their bar/terrace area was delightful and the restaurant was absolutely top notch. It's a great location just of the Stradun, really easy to get around to the cable car, the walls, restaurants etc.
**Tip** Take a backpack and not suitcases, there are a LOT of steps in Dubrovnik old town and carrying a suitcase up and down them is a bit of a pain. don't let that put you off staying in the old town though, it's romantic and beautiful. My husband and I stayed at Batala apartments for 3 nights and found it to be extremely good value in an otherwise fairly expensive city.

At the port of Dubrovnik. From the rooms you see the port. From the bathroom it is a beautiful site of the boats at port and the sea beyond. When you step outside you are in Dubrovnik and the activity of the day. Mother and daughter operators were wonderful hostesses. I will stay there again.

B&B Villa Dubrovnik Garden was very nice place to stay for a week. The personnel was friendly and it was also possible to get gluten free breakfast.
