  Extremely friendly and helpful staff, having a 24h reception is very convenient for late check-ins and early check-outs. Location is within walking distance to Dong Si train station, which is just stops away from key attractions such as Tian An Men, Forbidden Palace, WangFuJing street etc. I would highly recommend a visit to NanLuoGuXiang - a beau... vad folk säger » tiful place with lots to see, eat and buy. By the way, the hostel serves a good cup of Mocha! Overall, Happy Dragon Hostel is value for money for budg - Excellent customer service. The hostel is an easy 5 min walk from the Dongsi metro station. Very easy to find. Don't be put off by comments which say it's hard to find.

  The staff were incredible, they were great fun and really made us feel at home. The manager was very helpful and made it easy for us to plan our trips and get around with all of his advice. The great wall tour that they provided was excellent away from the touristy locations it was a great experience. The location was good just a 10minute walk from tian'anmen squa - The location is perfect, just 10 min walk away from Qianmen and Tiananmen Square, you can also find subway and bus quite easily around there. The cafe bar is really nice, good place to meet friends. Beds are pretty comfortable, I stayed in a 14 bed dorm, quite a big room, not crowded at all. The A/C works well, hot water 24 hrs, and oh! the bar opens 24 hrs as well, which is a bonus! The price is quite reasonable in Beijing, esp at central area. 4 Stars Recommend

  Hey Beijing is Beijing. It's a super busy place; it's polluted (air) beyond belief. In itself, must be seen to believe. Kapok was on the door step of the forbidden city and tien'amen and very convenient for the purpose; to visit these. A consideration for those traveling with a partner or sharing a room on business, the bathrooms are glass walled with a curtain to pull shut when using the space, so consider this when booking this hotel depending on who else may be in the room. The taxi we took from the airport (170rmb which was scam) can not find the place he had to call the hotel and drop us at one of the entrance. There are two entrances.   Our entire family enjoyed our stay at the Peninsula. The room was spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed. I love how the desk area is separated from the rest of the room. It allows me to do some work while the kids are watching a movie.   We stayed for 5 nights from March 28 to April 2. They granted us all our requests: big carpeted room with king-sized bed and nice view. Thanks Ms Jenny of reservations whom I had been coordinating with via email! The hotel is very near the Chongwenmen subway station (lines 2 & 5). Please make sure you get your ic card (reloadable subway ticket... vad folk säger » ). It is the the cheapest and most efficient way to get around Beijing. You can also use it in buses. The hotel is also directly connected to New Worl - The staff, especially Julia, was quick to respond to our needs and complaints. We were transferred to the upper floor when we complained about the noise from the renovation and to a non-smoking floor as requested. The room and the double bed are big and comfortable, the linens and bath towels are fresh. Free coffee and tea. The tv channels include hbo and English news.   We had booked a 2-bedroom family suite, which was apparently not available when we arrived--so for the same price were upgraded to a junior suite (living room, br, 1-1/2 baths) and adjacent deluxe room...very elegant and even more luxurious than we'd expected.
