  We stayed in Beijing at Xiao Yuan Alley Courtyard Hotel for 3 nights. It is lovely small hotel in Chinese style. It is very friendly, pleasant, comfortable and cute! It is situated in an old Beijing district Hutong, which is probably the only bastion of traditional Chinese climate left. It is situated max. 30-minute walk from the Forbidden city. ... vad folk säger » The nearest 2 metro stations are approx 10-minute walk from the hotel. The taxi from the airport to the hotel cost us 70 yuans (according to a taximet - Featuring charming, ultra-helpful English-speaking staff; the Xiao Yuan Alley hotel provides comfortable beds and good facilities, with a superbly located downtown hutong (Beijing alley) location, sensibly priced organized tours (if you wish) and excellent and very reasonably priced food available inside and nearby outside the hotel. And it's a very affordable place. I very much want to stay at this hotel again. I get happy just thinking about it. Highly recommend.

  - Very convenient about the transportation : a bus station just in front of the hotel, and the subway station less than 5 minutes from the hotel. There are some restaurant and a bakery just next to it. - The room was very big. - It was possible to bring a child of less than 10 years old for free. - There was internet in the room (but we didn't... vad folk säger » try it) - The TV has many chanels, in chinese of course, but also in english and in french ! - The staff was friendly, and the location is great. The rooms are old fashioned, but if you need just a place to sleep, this is good value for money! Whenever we needed assistance, the staff was always helpful.
