  We booked the suite, which is a separate apartment a few blocks away. While an odd layout it's like having your own apartment. You do have to walk a few blocks, not far, to the main hotel. Quiet. Plenty of parking. The breakfast spread is immense and excellent. They will prepare eggs to your order too. Basically a new hotel as was built in 2011 or so. - We received a friendly welcome from Gisela and Anton. Our room was pleasantly furnished in modern style. We enjoyed coffee and a beer on the large patio, whilst chatting with our host and admiring the beautiful marillen blossoms nearby. Excellent breakfast. Gisela and Anton recommended very good restaurants for our evening meals; we decided to extend our stay and enjoy a further night with them.

  We booked what we thought was a double room - we were really impressed when we arrived, as the room was more like a small apartment, even with a kitchenette and fridge and a sofa! Very spacious and very comfortable!   very pleasant staff, beautiful hotel, lovely spacious room - It probably is one of the best hotels whithin the Wachau region, very well located, opposite the Danube river. The bedroom was spacious and furnished tastefully, including a bathroom and separate toilets. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very helpful and kind.

  At first impression quite ordinary (for the Wachau, which has quite a hight standard), but the service is extraordinarily good because of the manager, who takes a very personal interest. The location is great, the amenities are all sufficient, and the breakfast is bountiful.

  It was a fantastic vacation. The neighborhood is very charming with narrow streets, as if we were dropped back to the Middle Ages. The air is wonderful, there is soothing quiet and are colorful flowers everywhere. The owner spoke English, made us very welcome & gave us good instructions & information. We were given a complimentary bottle of local wine with a welcome note. Spacious apartment was well equipped & nicely decorated. In the heat of summer the rooms remained cool & A.C. was not required. Well positioned for visiting the Wachau valley sites. Free WiFi was available in the main house.
