I liked the fact that it is an old hotel, which has a lot of class. I have been there before and with a city the size of LA, I feel comfortable with the location. I requested the highest floor possible and the quietest area and my requests were honored.

The photo's do not do this hotel justice! The essence of this hotel of rich history or sport, that dark, seductive feel to the rooms- it really was such a wonderful stay! * Location was great to be able to use public transport (bus & subway) + only 20 min walk to Staples Center

As soon as we arrived this hotel captured us. It's location was easy
to find from the airport (though the driving on the other side of the
road/car was a little taxing). The Standard sign placed upside down,
the fire heated outside seating area, the colouful indoor waiting area
with pool table, warm and welcoming staff with a hairdressers and shop

all waiting when you enter. We were upgraded to a room with a larger bed
and docking station (the bed being the biggest ive seen, let alone slept
in) -
Everything was perfect. Excellent staff, special mention to Rodrigo, very helpful since the very beginning. The Rooftop is simply amazing, with a nice atmosphere and good music. We did not used the pool as it was always full, LOL. The location is also very good, with the 7th street Metro station 2 blocks away.

The staff were helpful and knowledgable about the area. The hotel itself was fantastic and amazing value for money! The rooms are colourful and comfortable. I was surprised and ecstatic to find that I could find an ensuite room to myself in new hotel with fabulous facilites for less than US$30 a night! Incredible! - my only requirements are silence

My wife and I stayed here a couple nights. The facilities were great, staff was wonderful and very helpful my only complaint was I had asked for champagne chocolate dipped strawberries and rose petals on the bed for the first night.
