Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. For the first time I have experienced that the room was just as nice and big as the pictures on the booking page showed. Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Also, the door man was such a delight...helped get our car, load the car, offered help with directions, even gave our son some small toys! -

Very accommodating staff - Located in a quiet side road. Ideal to go shoping by foot. Nice stores (also grocery) close by. As for the rooms it seems to depend on which room you get: I was located 1 block away from Copley House and enjoyed the suite very much.

Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!

Hotel staff were outstanding, friendly, helpful. We stayed for a specialoccasion and the concierge gave us vip tickets for an attraction wewanted to visit. They went out of their way to make the stay memorable - Friendly good service the staff went out of their way to help. Good location close to Boston Common, historic sights underground etc

The hotel is in a perfect location, in the downtown area with links to the subway. It was very clean and comfortable - not the poshest place but perfect for our needs.
