FRom check-in to departure my stay was trouble free. OK the breakfast is a muffin and make your own coffee but there are also places nearby for a full breakfast if you wanted. For me
my stay was as perfect as any expectations. The no 38 bus that stops at the door gets you downtown in about 130mins depending on traffic.But the friendly people on buses made it a pleasant journey.

Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Parking facility was excellent and secure. - The room was super clean, oversized and the tub drained!! :) Parking was limited but free! The free coffee was better than Starbucks! The staff was wonderful. The parking was ok. tight spaces. Our car got a good size scratch from the car that parked next to us. Since is it on Lombard street we were happy that they had onsite parking, instead of having to park on the busy street. Continental breakfast was ok. -

I had a room that was large and very clean. Frig and microwave in room. It was easy access to the street, and I love this area of San Francisco. Close to Palace of Fine Arts, the Marina and shopping on Chestnut St. If the price is as competitive next year as this year when I visit San Francisco, I will definitely stay there.

It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.
