Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). The staff are amazingly friendly and really made us feel welcome. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and all round nice. It felt more like a family hotel than a chain hotel (and I mean that as a positive comment.)

The Guy Fawkes Inn is such a great place, the location is spot-on for a stay in York, the place is steeped in history and the rustic charm of the inn is amazing, you feel like you've travelled back in time once you step through the door, but in a good way :)

the staff from our arrival were more than helpfull, and went out there way to find us a nice resturant to eat in and made the reservation for us. the hotel and the staff were brilliant! - The location and view from our room was excellent as was the room itself. We got a family room ,so no complaints plenty of room , nice and airy well fitted out. - Position to city centre,and all of things stated in 2, not forgetting the gorgeous breakfasts and complimentary coffee and cakes in the afternoon.
