The staff were always helpful and put themselves out to help, without being pushy. The Hotel is well maintained and if in the area I would stay there again - Clean, tidy and comfortable room, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was superb!

Lovely location with great sea views. Short walk into Southend itself or longer sea front walk to the very pretty Leigh on Sea. Lots of old pubs with great character here and the old famous "cockle sheds" for fresh sea food. Friendly helpful and informative staff. Brilliant buffet breakfast- lots of choice and food good quality and kept piping hot

Room lovely, quite elegant and very comfortable. Big ensuite- well equipped and lovely deep bath. - our room was spacious, clean and very comforable and had a wonderful view. the staff were friendly and helpfull and the breakfast was perfect.

Very helpful reception staff including the duty manager Thomaz I think? Helped us to our room as we had to carry our sleeping child. Was very helpful on the phone and friendly and nothing was too much trouble!!
Also lady in the morning on the reception was helpful and lady at breakfast helpful and friendly towards us and our son. And best omelette

little man a smile and a little chat. Will def stay again. Thank you for
a lovely relaxing stay. And excellent black out curtains little man
slept in until 8:30 I haven't had a lie in like that for a long long

We stayed at holiday inn in southend since our flight to Amsterdam was taking off from southend airport. So we ended up staying there for two nights. It was absolutely the right decision. The hotel itself was spotless. It was really clean and well maintained. Best hotel for the price. southend is a nice town for nightlife and clubs. Not so much during the days. I found staff to be extremely pleasant, rooms were very clean in fact
